ITINERARY
Day 1 USA - ITALY
Italy and St. Petersburg tour starts with intercontinental flight to Europe, to Venice. Meals are served on board of the plane.

Day 2 VENICE/PADUA
Upon arrival to Venice airport we transfer to our hotel in Padua. Time permitting, we will make a short visit the Basilica of St. Anthony, celebrate Holy mass and afterwards go to the hotel 
for dinner.

Day 3 VENICE
Bus drive and water taxi to Venice, the city of romance, history and beauty. Our walking tour today will begin in the Piazza San Marco, world-famous marble square lined with shops, charming cafes and galleries. Our main attractions here are the Bridge of Sighs, Doge's Palace, the magnificent Basilica di San Marco with the mixtures of Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic styles which reflect the history of Venice. We will celebrate the Holy mass in basilica and after guided tour some free time before leaving back to Padua, boat ride to the mainland. Dinner and overnight is in our hotel.

Day 4 PADUA – RAVENNA
We begin with a walking visit to Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua, pass by "Pratto Della Valle" one of the biggest squares in Italy to get to the basilica of Santa Giustina. Holy Mass today will be in the Basilica of St. Anthony. Drive to Ravenna to see the world famous mosaics. Check in to our hotel, free time before dinner and overnight.

Day 5 RAVENNA – OFFIDA – LORETO 
After breakfast we depart for Offida, site of the Eucharistic Miracle where the Host changed into the flesh of Jesus. Then to Loreto, site of Mary’s house that was transported by the angels from Nazareth. We celebrate Mass there. Later in the afternoon we depart for Assisi, check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Assisi. Time permitting; we will visit the forest where St. Francis often went to pray.

Day 6 ASSISI
Full day visit to Assisi. Walking tour will begin with visit to the basilica of St. Claire, and Cathedral San Rufino. We will continue to the basilica of St. Francis and on the way stop at main Square of Assisi. We will visit the saint’s home. After visiting the tomb of St. Francis in the crypt of the lower basilica we will go San Damiano and to Santa Maria degli Angeli with story of the life of St. Francis and his first community. Prayer in Porziuncola will be just one of the highlights on today's tour. Our tour includes the chance to have comprehensive guidance inside the Basilica of St. Francis with detailed explanations on frescoes of Giotto and Cimabue given to us by our guide. Rest of the day free until dinner at our hotel. Mass in one of the famous churches of Assisi.

Day 7 ASSISI – ORVIETO - ROME
This morning we will leave Assisi and stop in Orvieto, the city famous for the Eucharistic Miracle that gave us Corpus Christi Sunday. The visit will include Cathedral "Duomo" with nearby Papal Palace, then "Palazo del Popolo". Mass in the Duomo. After Orvieto we continue to Rome where we expect to arrive in afternoon for our visit to two Roman basilicas, St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran. This is the Cathedral of Rome and was Papal residence from the 5C until the papacy departed to Avignon in France in the 14th century.

Day 8 ROME CHRISTIAN HISTORICAL
Today we are on entire day Christian tour of Rome. First on our schedule today is Holy mass at St. Peter Basilica, then to visit St. Passede, the church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and we will also see the nearby 
Holy Staircase (Scala Sancta) actual stairs that Jesus Christ walked on the day he went to Pilate and the baptistery of St. John Lateran. We visit Santa Croce to see the relics of Jesus’ Passion. We will end our day with visit to basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and Catacombs on via Apia. We will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 9 ROME ANCIENT AND CHRISTIAN
Today we will tour Rome and its sites like Piazza Venezia, with King Victor Emanuel II monument, Piazza di Spagna, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, San Luigi, Chiesa Nuova, San Carlo, Imperial forums (Caesar, Augustus, and Trajan). We will see the Coliseum, San Clemente, the Marmentine Prison which held St. Peter, the Basilica of Ss. Comos and Damian. Time permitting, we will visit the Jesuit basilica: the Gesu, San Marco, and San Ignazio, and the two famous churches in Trastevere, Santa Maria in Trastevere and San Crisogono. Our entire day will for sure be inspirational and educational.

Day 10 ROME - VATICAN AUDIENCE
Early morning is reserved for our visit to Vatican. Morning with Pope Benedict XVI on general Audience and later in the afternoon after lunch break visit to the Vatican museums, the Carmelite church that holds the pillar St. Peter was whipped at, and St. Peter basilica. Late afternoon and early evening are free before our farewell dinner in typical Italian restaurant, close to St. Peter’s. We will stroll to see the famous Fountains of Rome at night.

DAY 11 ROME – ST. PETERSBURG, Russia
Our pilgrimage goes on; today we fly to Saint Petersburg. Upon arrival we meet with our guide and proceed to hotel. On the way to hotel we will take short panoramic bus tour of this beautiful Russian city. Check in to first class hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 12 Saint Petersburg city tour
After our breakfast, we will have a full day tour of this city of the Russians Tsars. Our sightseeing tour will take us to Palace Square and the magnificent Winter Palace, and to Saint Isaac’s Cathedral. We will see the Peter and 
Paul Fortress, Nevsky Prospect with the Saviour of the Spilt Blood, Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan with the precious Icon of Mother of God “Our Lady of Kazan”, the famous Bronze Horseman, Smolny, as well as the city’s other highlights. Dinner and overnight in Saint Petersburg.

DAY 13 Saint Petersburg city tour
On our schedule for today is Alexander Nevsky Abbey, a monastery and a 19th-century Necropolis, containing the graves of many world-famous Russian writers, composers and sculptors. We will then visit the Hermitage, also known as the Winter Palace (previously the residence of the imperial family). The Hermitage contains over three million exhibits and possesses one of the best art collections in the world. The gallery is most famous for its collection of West European art, with paintings by Monet, Cezanne, Renoir, Picasso, da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rubens, Rembrandt….. Dinner and overnight in St. Petersburg.

DAY 14 Saint Petersburg – Peterhof
Today we are on a half day tour of Peterhof, 18 miles from Saint Petersburg. Set in magnificent gardens, Peterhof is reminiscent of Versailles and was only used by royalty for state occasions. The Grand Palace was built for Peter the Great, enlarged for Empress Elizabeth and remodeled for Catherine the Great. In the afternoon, our group will have some free time before our dinner in a restaurant where some traditional Russian meals will be served. This will be our last night in Saint Petersburg.

DAY 15 Saint Petersburg – USA
Morning transfer to airport for flight back home – arrival same day!
