Day 1 – Departure to Croatia, Split

Departure to Croatia from your gateway city, meals served on the board of the plane.

Day 2 – Arrival to Croatia, Split - Medjugorje

You will arrive at the airport of the city Split in Dalmatia in the Republic of Croatia. Here all our groups meet our Blue Heart Travel guide. Our bus ride to Medjugorje is along the most beautiful coastline in the world, the Adriatic Sea Coast. Time permitting we will attend the evening program in the Church of St. James, the Patron Saint of Medjugorje and patron saint of pilgrims. Our first overnight is in Medjugorje.

Day 3, 4, 5 - Medjugorje

On our first day in Medjugorje after breakfast our local English-speaking guide will give you an orientation walk from our hotel to the Church St. James. In the following few days your program in Medjugorje, your time in Medjugorje will consist of talks given by Franciscans from St. James Parish of Medjugorje, of daily Holy Mass, prayer on the Apparition Hill, site of the apparitions of OUR LADY. You will have a chance to visit when possible one of the visionaries, Ivan, Marija, and Vicka, who still today, while you are reading this itinerary, receive apparitions of Our Lady. You will also climb The Cross Mountain, make the most difficult "Way of The Cross" in the world. Medjugorje on June 24th 1981. On our schedule is, of course daily English speaking Holy Mass. Whether your group is accompanied by a priest or not, the Medjugorje parish makes sure you have daily celebration of The Holy Eucharist in your native tongue. Messages that Our Lady - QUEEN OF PEACE has been giving here are the foundation for the evening program. It is a program each evening that consists of prayer of all Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, of evening Holy Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Prayer for Healing of the body and the soul. Your group will with the help of your guide visit the Blue Cross, Cenacolo, Oasis of Peace and all others for the pilgrims important sites of Medjugorje. Stradun, Dubrovnik old town

Day 6 - Medjugorje - Dubrovnik, Croatia

After breakfast the group will leave for Dubrovnik. In the early afternoon we will start our walking city tour of the truly unique town with over thirteen hundred years of history. Group will visit Cathedral and Tresuary room with the numerous relics brought to Dubrovnik from all parts of Mediterranean during the time when Dubrovnik Republic was well known throughout the region as a maritime powerful city state. Visit includes Church of St. Blaise, patron saint of Republic Dubrovnik then to Dominican church, Franciscan church and Monastery of the “Fratres Minores”. Walk along the Stradun the largest street is always like a walk through the centuries of the history of this old city. Check in to hotel for dinner and overnight, (dinner will be in one of the Dubrovnik restaurants).

Day 7 - Dubrovnik - Cavtat, excursion bus/boat

Today after the breakfast group will leave for the excursion to Cavtat, from the old port of Dubrovnik we will leave by the ship to Cavtat. Hvar - central square with the St. Stephen's cathedral Here after the visit and free time for lunch and stroll along the beautiful promenade, by the Adriatic sea we will reaturn to Dubrovnik. Shrort scenic drive along the most southern part of the Croatian coast. In Dubrovnik free evening before dinner.

Day 8 - Dubrovnik - Hvar

After the breakfast we will embark the cruise ferry boat and next several hours spend on this ship on our way to Hvar. Along the way you will have a chance to enjoy most beautiful type of the Mediterranean coast – Dalmatian coast. Adriatic Sea in Croatia has over twelve hundred island, great number of peninsulas and bays. Arrival to the island Hvar, transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 Hvar

Today most of the morning we will spend on walking tour of town Hvar which history goes back to the 3rd century BC. Island Hvar was colonized by ancient Greeks, same island played very important role in the time when local population fought the Roman Empire to preserve its independence. City tour will include the visit to the cathedral of St. Steven from 16th century, so called new fortress Spanjol, XVI century one erected by French called Napoleon fortress from 19th century, Arsenal from the 14th century, place where dramas and operas were performed until the 1796 – masterpiece of the architecture. Later we will have short visit to the probably oldest settlement on island of Hvar – “Pharos” as Greeks called it, today Stari Grad. Free time in the afternoon to be spent Split - inside of the Diocletian's palace, Peristil at city Hvar the square being surrounded by the buildings from different epochs – Hvar city monument.

Day 10 Hvar - Split (Diocletian Palace)

In the morning group will catch one of the early cruise ferry boats and sail towards Split. Same afternoon we will take a walking city tour of Split. 1700 years old city begins with the Diocletian’s summer residence. In the early 4th century Roman Emperor (Diocletian) has finished his palace which later became the nucleus of the growing city Split. This Roman Emperor was known as one who restructured the Roman Empire, its administration and the army but also as a persecutor of Christians. We will walk among the beautifully preserved walls of the palace, enter the St. Doimu's Cathedral, bell tower and enjoy the Peristyle - all the historical buildings in Split and the life that still goes on within them make the whole atmosphere unique and the palace goes on living for all and not just for the Emperor. Tonight we are in our hotel in Split.

Day 11

In the morning after breakfast you will leave Split and Croatia, flight back home, arrival same day.
