Day 1 Departure

Depart from your city, flight to Split or Dubrovnik in the Republic of Croatia. Medjugorje - Apparition Hill, Podbrdo

Day 2 Arrival to Medjugorje

You will arrive at the Split or Dubrovnik, Republic Croatia. Here all our groups meet with the Blue Heart Travel guide. Drive to Medjugorje is along the most beautiful coastline in the world, the Adriatic Sea Coast (not in the case highway route is taken. Time permitting we will attend the evening program at the Church of St. James, the Patron Saint of Medjugorje and patron saint of pilgrims. Your dinner and overnight tonight will be in Medjugorje.

Day 3, 4, 5 - Medjugorje

On your first morning in Medjugorje after the breakfast you will meet with your local English-speaking guide who will give you an introduction, a short walk from your hotel to the Church St. James just before English language mass at 10:00 am. You will have a chance to participate in many activities during your stay in Medjugorje. With thousands of pilgrims from all over the world you will celebrate daily mass at St. James church
Visiting Bijakovici village, all 6 visionaries come from it, you will pray the Rosary on the Apparition hill, Podbrdo place where Our Lady first appeared. Guide will schedule visits when possible to one or more visionaries, maybe Ivan, Marija, Vicka, Jakov or Mirjana. Each evening at 5:00 pm (at 6:00 pm during the summer) you and thousands of other pilgrims will pray the rosary. All three Mysteries are prayed during the evening program. In Our Lady’s messages it was repeated many times how important is to come to mass where “we meet Jesus alive”. Messages of Prayer of the Rosary, Holy Mass and Confession are the center of the evening program in St. James church. The apparition takes place at 5:40 pm or 6:40 daylight savings time, and even today according to the words of three visionaries apparition takes place every day to Vicka, Ivan and Marija. Mirjana, Jakov and Ivanka are the three visionaries who don’t have daily apparitions but Medjugorje Confessions by the St. James church once a year. Guide will arrange the meetings with them during the time of your stay in Medjugorje but this depends on their availability and presence in the village. Pilgrims can attend the daily evening Mass (in Croatian language) and on Thursdays and Saturdays Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the Church. After the Mass, there is the Blessing of the Sick and blessing of the religious items, souvenirs you have with you. Among other activities you will have a chance to climb the “Cross mountain”, Krizevac as Croats call it, visit the “Blue Cross”, another place of the apparition of Our Lady also nearby Oasis of Peace and community - Cenacolo. Each pilgrim will have time for private devotions, lunches, shopping, or simply enjoying your own “freedom of prayer”.

Day 6 - Medjugorje - Rome

Today you will leave Medjugorje after morning Holy Mass at St. James Church, for the City of Spilt. After a one-hour flight you will arrive in Rome, transfer to your hotel, overnight.

Day 7 - Rome

In the late morning you will start with our tour of The Eternal City, visit the ancient Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Pope’s Cathedral as bishop of Rome, St. Mary Major basilica and nearby church of the Holy Cross of the Jerusalem with relics of the true Cross discovered by St. Helen, as well as St Helen’s tomb. The same day you will also visit St. Paul’s Basilica Outside the Walls with St. Paul's tomb. Return to our hotel for an afternoon rest, dinner on your own.

Day 8 - Rome, Vatican & General Audience

Today is Wednesday and the group will attend the General Audience with Pope Benedict XVI at the St. Peter’s Square. After lunch break you will be visiting the St. Peter’s basilica and Square! Free time in the evening at the Vatican area before dinner in one of the typical Italian restaurants close to St. Peter's. After dinner we will return to our hotel.

Day 9 – Rome Historical

Today you are on tour through the historical center of Rome. You will pass by Circus Maximus, Santa Maria in Cosmedin church with “Bocca della Verita”, then to Piazza Venezia, with King Victor Emanuel II monument and stop by Coliseum and Arch of Constantine to walk through the Roman Forum and the Imperial Forum (Caesar, Augustus, Trajan) where we’ll view Roman temples which are now used as Catholic churches – like St. Peter in Chains with Moses made by Vatican Museums and Sistine chapel - The Last Judgment by Michelangelo Michelangelo. After the lunch we will leave to the historical center of Rome to see the church of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva beautiful Dominican church, to see the Pantheon, and famous Fontana Trevi and visit it at night under the lights will make a memorable evening in Rome. Tonight our dinner in Rome will be in one of the typical Italian restaurants and with a glass of wine we can close our long day Roman tour.

Day 10 - Rome - Tel Aviv

Today your catholic tour continues with a flight to the Holy land, to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival to Israel group will meet with your Spanish speaking Catholic guide and head on to the Mediterranean Sea on the way to the crusader port city of Caesarea and the Roman capital of Israel. Here, we will see the archaeological ruins of the Roman amphitheatre from the days of King Herod. Our next stop will be Haifa, and on to Mount Carmel, we will visit Carmelite Monastery, Chapel of the Holy Family and Elijah’s cave where we celebrate the Holy Mass. Overnight and dinner is at our hotel, city Tiberias or Nazareth.

Day 11 - Nazareth - Cana - River Jordan

We will leave our hotel and drive for Nazareth, the boyhood of Jesus and the place where He spent the first 30 years of His life. We will say many prayers in the most inspiring churches of St. Joseph and the basilica of the Annunciation where the Angel Gabriel announced to Mary that She would be the Mother of God see the Well where our Mary went for the water. The next place of our visit is Cana the site of Jesus' first miracle. In this little town we will have the renewal of the marriage vows and blessing of families. In the same afternoon before we return to hotel we will visit river Jordan for a renewal our baptismal vows, river in which John the Baptist baptized Jesus Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 - Capernaum - Tabgha - Mt. of Beatitudes - Sea of Galilee

Today we will follow the "Footsteps of Jesus". We will visit Capernaum where Jesus spent most of His preaching; new church built at the site of the home of St. Peter, ruins of the synagogue that had been built in the time of Jesus. Through the story of our tour guide we will get to know more about the Life of Jesus in Capernaum. Then we drive to Mt. Of Beatitudes where the Lord Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mountain celebrate the mass here and continue to Tabgha the site of the Multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the church of St. Peter's Primacy. We will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Return to our hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 13 - Mt. Tabor - Jericho - Jerusalem

After breakfast, we depart Tiberias to Jericho towards Mt. Tabor; we will take a short taxi drive up to the mountain to visit the church of Transfiguration. Later Jerusalem - Flagellation Chapel the group will continue through the Jordan Valley towards Jericho, the oldest known continuously inhabited city in the world, through the Judean Desert, pass by Mount of Temptation. Long day ends in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 14 - Jerusalem

After breakfast we start from the Mount of Olives following the Palm Sunday Road, the road Jesus followed on the way to Jerusalem. Visit the chapel of Dominus Flevit where our Lord wept and shed a tear for the city of Jerusalem (Luke 19: 37- 42). We then proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane and pray at the church of All Nations (Church of Gethsemane), where Jesus prayed: "... not my will, but thy, be done". In the afternoon we will visit Mt. Zion. We will visit the church of St. Peter Gallicantu; church built on the site of the house of high priest Caiaphas, where Jesus spent the night in the rooms (dungeon) that are still there. On this site Peter denied Jesus three times. We will also see the room of the Last Supper, church of Dormition. Return to hotel for dinner.

Day 15 - Bethlehem - Jerusalem

This morning we drive south of Jerusalem to Bethlehem (house of bread in Hebrew), to see the church of Nativity built over the tomb of St. Jerome. In the Grotto under the central altar one can see the Holy Manger, and the Silver Star with the Latin inscription "Hic de Maria Virgine Jesus Christus Natus est". After the visit to a birthplace of Jesus we will visit Shepherd’s field where Angels appeared to the shepherds (Luke 2), to announce the Birth of Jesus. In the afternoon we Jerusalem walls from the Mount of Olives drive towards Ein Karem. We will visit the Church of Visitation where the Mary visited with her cousin Elizabeth. This is the place where Our Lady said Her "Magnificat". The birthplace of St. John the Baptist is the last place we visit today.

Day 16 - Jerusalem - farewell dinner

Jerusalem as our destiny, today early in the morning you will enter the old town and follow the Stations of the Cross or the Via Dolorosa – from the Pilate’s fortress to the today Church of the Holy Sepulcher, site of Crucifixion and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We will see the pool of Bethesda where Jesus Christ healed a man who was crippled for 38 years. The church of St Anne venerated as a birthplace of Mary and a home of her parents Joachim and Anne. Today we are also visiting the Temple Mount with the Al Aqsa Mosque, and the Wailing Wall. After a rather long day you will have a chance to spend the rest of it on your own, personal devotions, shopping or additional sightseeing. Farewell dinner before your last overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 17 - JERUSALEM - FLIGHT HOME

The group will leave Jerusalem, transfer to Tel Aviv, flight back home.
