Here are few words and photos from pilgrimages and from people who traveled with us in the past few years.
Gordan,
It is a wonderful trip, a very touching trip, a very motivated, empowerment and strengthen our faith, the whole trip to MEDJUGORJE via Vienna is very much enlightenment. The tour guide the on time driver pick up etc. During the stay in the Cross Pansion the owner is especially warm and kind, she invited us eat at her home with her delicious food, a very kind, sweet nature, tender behavior, full of loving attitude provide their best service. So we feel home and safe. The Cross Pansion located in a very strategic location which is not far from the church, also not far from the apparition hill. So everyday morning we can walk to the hill.
It is a very fruitful journey especially when praying rosary in the church with thousand of people, a kind of very powerful Rosary prayer, more over touching Jesus right leg which have water drop, that is a very sacred feeling. Listen to Vicka and Mirjana speech I can feel the Radiation of peace shine out from their body. Their prayer with complete STILLNESS is paramount to learn. My whole family feel so peace after back from MEDJUGORJE, and I personally start to pray Rosary in daily basis. The English mass at the Chapel is very good. The food at VIKTOR restaurant the mixed grill and all food are excellent.

Dear Gordan,
As you see, how joyful, happy and peaceful all of us after did the trip to Medjugorje via Vienna, we really very enjoyed the Christmas in Vienna and have attended the Christmas mass which celebrated by Cardinal Schorborn. The hotel was so perfect, just nice and so easy for us to go to anywhere by walking distance, surrounded by shops and restaurant, we also went to the concert, we are really appreciated and so blessed to let you arranged the wonderful trips for us.
We love Vienna so much, and will come back to Vienna again sometimes, and to Medjugorje too. We would like to visit more often to Medjugorje and other places too and will introduce to our friends and relatives to you Gordan, so they also will have a good and wonderful experiences too, as we had in our pilgrims trips.
We will stay in touch with you and will introduce our friends and relatives to you.

We have returned from our trip to Europe on Tuesday and I just wanted to personally thank you for all the arrangements that you made for us while our stay in Medugorje. Peter's pension was delightful as well as Peter himself. He made us very comfortable and the walk to Apparition Hill was very close from his place as well as to St. James.
Viktors Restuarant was amazing. The meals were spectaculor and Viktor and his staff were very hospitable. My family couldn't wait to have dinner every evening at Viktors. I wish we could bring him to America where he could open a restaurant here.....

We arrived in Montenegro at around 3:30pm. I am so grateful for this trip. It was the least stressful I've ever experienced..................Everything we experienced in Mejugorie was perfect, from the meetings with the visionaries to Holy Hour on Saturday night. You truly are a good organizer. I felt safe and like it was worth every penny.
I will always recommend you for religious trips!
Please thank your wife for the maslenica idea--now, I'm craving it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!

Hi Gordan,
The trip was so excellent. After looking at around 40 different tour agencies and then speaking to about 15 of them, it was immediately obvious you were the best one. Since I had a young adult group going with various ages from 25-40, we had a different itinerary in mind that involved a lot of activity and creating a tour that was in chronological order, so that we could understand the living Bible. I tried with other agencies and unfortunately, people were either unwilling to change their itineraries or work with my "crazy" ideas!
It was obvious that our tour was organized by a Catholic, since it wasn't just a historical tour, it was also very spiritual. We learned so much, saw more than we could have imagined and had the best journey! Everyone loved that we got a chance to go to Jordan, as well as the Holy Land. It was definitely an experience I will never forget and one that made me understand my faith on a deeper level (and I'm not the only one who said that!)

It was a wonderful experience, Gordan.
I can't pick one thing or place that was the best -- each country was so unique. Certainly the opportunity to have Mass in so many very, very special places was a highlight. And although for many decades, I've read about and seen photos and movies of the Nazi concentration and death camps, it was a very somber moment to actually stand in the structures where such horror occurred.
Our dining experiences were great! Incredible meals, especially the salads.
And goodness, there was so much wine and beer.
All in all, I couldn't ask for a more pleasurable trip.

I am sorry we never got back to you with our feedback. We have been so busy since our trip in May. It was a truly wonderful experience, one of the best experiences of my life!
The tour guide was wonderful. She did not have as much familiarity with all of the sites in Italy and was not able to provide as much depth in all of the areas. I did quite a bit of research and have been to Italy many times, so it was fine for Brian and I.
The bus driver did a fantastic job! The hotels were great in every city. The itinerary was perfect.

Dear Gordan;
One year ago my Dad and I decided to take a trip to Israel and Egypt. How lucky we were to have gone with you and Jerico Journeys!
We expected to have a great time. My dad (Don) and I did not expect the depth of feelings and emotions we would have through the journey – and that those feeling have continued since our return home. Barely a day goes by that we don’t mention the trip to each other – if only to ask what the temperature in Cairo is. Hearing the gospel, reading the Bible, seeing a picture of the Holy Land brings back wonderful memories. Each gospel now has new meaning – we were actually THERE where the miracles were performed. We sailed on the Sea of Galilee, walked down the Mt of olives, waded in the River Jordan. The highlight of the trip for both my Dad and me was the Climb (or camel ride) up Mt. Sinai. What an awesome experience!! It was a perfect night. Those 6 or 7 hours I count among the most meaningful in my life.

For your information, the Berkley Hotel was very satisfactory also with a good location. We will let folks at our church know of your tour business.

I am so grateful for your leadership, concern, and prayer as we made our pilgrimage. Coming to Lourdes has been a dream I had for many years. I think that it will be many years before I absorb the totalexperience. It couldn't have happened without you. In the midst of all the details of the daily scheduling you managed to call us to the spiritual journey over and over. That had to be a task all by itself. I will be forever grateful. Now, I can take some days to reflect on our experience. Apart from the pilgrimage, the accomadations, transportation, luggage moving, everything went so smoothly. Thank you, especially, for encouraging me to do as much as I could. I am astounded that I was able to take part in almost everything. Thank you for arranging an outstanding Pilgrimage tour. Going on a pilgrimage was something entirely new for me and I wasn't sure what to expect. But the apparition sights, holy places, the chapels for our Eucharistic celebrations were all part of a wonderful experience of faith that I could never have imagined. Pilgrimage group to Fatima, Santiago, Lourdes and ParisOur hotels and transportation were comfortable, our meals were delicious, the guides and bus drivers courteous and helpful. You paid attention to every little detail and your organization made the trip easy and worry free. All I had to do was soak up everything and enjoy.......Thank you for your extra special help in making these arrangements for us. Visiting these holy places has given me a better connection to the saints who are my mentors. The trip wouldn't have been the same without the Masses and prayer times. Fr. Jose was an excellent spiritual motivator and the combination of experiences enriched my spirituality. Laraine was right on target when she said "Gordan would make sure that everything on the pilgrimage perfect." Thank you once again for all the planning and effort you put in to making this a trip of a lifetime.

Personally wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for showing me the best time of my life. It was my first time to Europe, and you made it out to be better than I had expected. I know it has only been a week since I have been there, but it seems like forever. I miss the great hospitality, the friendly faces, the good food, beautiful scenery, and all the new friends I made. I thought it was only going to be like a religious retreat, so I was not looking forward to it at all. I loved the day at the waterfall and all the little boutiques. I always got so excited when I found someone that spoke English. It was cool how I picked up on some Croatian too. Yeah, I got the basics down :) I do apologize if I caused you any stress or frustration, I was only thinking about what I wanted. I would have given anything to have stayed longer. Each day was perfect to me. I got my luggage yesterday. I heard that my mom talked to you, and you pulled some strings - so I thank you for that too. Family pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi November 2006(Blue Heart Travel & JeriCo Christian Journeys)
Dear Colleen:
So sorry for the delay. I have intended to get back to you but I got caught up in the holiday rush and also I was in the hospital recently (everything is fine). The trip was wonderful. The guides were very helpful and the drivers were prompt, kind and efficient. We loved the Michelangelo hotel. The only problem that we had was with a few of the Mass arrangements on the days that we did not have a guide. (We discovered that Romans like to change their minds). We were not able to have Mass in Cascia in spite of prior arrangements because we got there near the "Siesta" hours. The whole place was very empty (due to the season). We also were "bumped" from one of our pre-arranged Masses in Rome (but were able to find another Church on our own). My only other main issue was that planning was right up to the last moment. although I understand that both you and Gordon had a lot of circumstances that made planning difficult this past fall. But from my end I was a bit stressed right up to the end as to when and if things were going to fall together. I tried to keep the others at peace as to what was going on. But things turned out wonderfully and we appreciate all of your hard work. You did a great job. My husband was pleased and he can be picky at times. We will keep your company in mind for any of our future pilgrimages. By the way, the highlight of the trip was being able to attend the general audience with Pope Benedict XVI. We got a place next to the fence and when he went by, we were all able to make direct eye contact with the Holy Father! An experience that will never be forgotten!

We arrived safely back home last night. Fabrizio and his friend were excellent (his associate made it from the hotel to the airport in about 20 minutes---must be a record). Any ride in a Mercedes is OK with me. The hotel was superb and we had a wonderful dinner in Rome Monday evening. Thank you for all your help and accommodation to our special needs. We truly hope to see you again. Please, if you can, let the others know that we are home safe and sound and missing the group.

Reflections on a pilgrimage with Blue Heart Travel, September 2006:
I never thought I wanted to go on a guided tour, and I never dreamed I would EVER go on a pilgrimage. But God’s imagination for our lives is far more expansive than our own, and that is mercy and grace. In early 2006 FaithWalk Publishing asked me to write a book enaltd “Mary for Skeptics,” scheduled for Fall 2007 publication. Shortly after I signed the author contract, I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen for years. Upon learning about my book project, she told me she was organizing a Marian pilgrimage to Italy and Medjugorje with Blue Heart Travel, and urged me to go. One by one, the obstacles I thought would prevent my joining the trip fell away. I cashed in my author advance and went on faith.
And how grateful I am for the blessing of that journey. Twenty Americans and a Mexican-American priest met in the Grand Rapids airport on a Monday morning, and on Tuesday noon we arrived in Rome--tired and bedraggled--but the moment we were greeted at the airport by Gordan Zovko, we were pilgrims on a holy walk. Our bus was waiting, and our adventures began. Throughout the next two weeks, I marveled at the dedication and knowledge of the local guides who met us in Rome, Florence, Assisi, Loreto, Medjugorje and Dubrovnik. I could not have had a better education. Through their skill and connections we visited and celebrated Mass together in some of the most amazing Holy sites in Europe, and they had answers to all my questions.
As for our pilgrimage leaders--Gordan Zovko in Italy and Dragan Zovko in Medjugorje—they shepherded us with skill and patience, solved all our problems and fulfilled all our special requests with utmost graciousness. Moreover, they prayed with us, shared the Body and Blood of Christ with us, laughed, danced, sang, and wept with us. They taught us so much about the lands and people we were visiting, and gave us ample “down time” to discover them on our own, as well. The package price for two weeks was so reasonable that I did not expect to enjoy the delightful (spotlessly clean!), convenient hotels and the wonderful meals that were included in the trip. Our buses were new and in the best repair. I felt safe even on mountain roads in the dark of night. All of our admissions were included, and we had what amounted to “VIP access” to nearly every site, with very little waiting.
Everything, everything exceeded expectations.

How quickly time passes. A little over two weeks ago we were dealing with last minute details for our trip, and today we are preparing for tomorrow's return to work. Our pilgrimage to Italy and Medjugorje was so memorable. Everything went smoothly-flights, hotels, transportation, wonderful guides, great weather. We very quickly became one with the group from Michigan. Lorraine is a very special lady-made us feel so welcome. Fabrizio met us at the airport (we were two hrs. late) and took us directly to St. John Lateran to join the group. He provided a very interesting, running commentary during the drive, all the time dodging in and out of traffic-hair raising at times! Not enough words can be said about Gordon Zovko, our guide. He went above and beyond to meet our needs. We certainly gave him a challenge at times, but he was always so gracious and patient with us. His cousin took over in Medjugorje and was equally as attentive. We experienced so many sacred moments-Mass in so many holy places, quiet time for personal prayer. Medjugorje has indeed changed since my last visit which was just after the war. It is such a busy place now. Our hotel was very comfortable and convenient to the church. I don't know if it might have been a bit quieter to have had accommodation off of the main street. There was traffic late into the night, and a pub is located right across the street which resulted in noise until the early morning hours. Our room faced the street. I was pleased to find out that Medjugorje natives own the place-Veronica was so good to us. In spite of all the traffic, shops, etc., Medjugorje is still a very special place of peace. We were able to hear Ivan speak and also joined his prayer group on Podbrdo Friday night for his apparition-a perfect closure to our trip. Thank you again for making this trip possible for us. We have a great love for our Church, and it was a blessing being able to visit so many holy sites, places we have only read about in the past.
