Rome & Medjugorje Pilgrimage
This pilgrimage will meet two ends of the one Universal Catholic Church, the foundations in Rome, and the alive and prayerful one in Medjugorje! We will visit the seat of the Roman Catholic Church in the Vatican and hear the history! The visit will include the Catacombs, Patriarchal basilicas Saint Mary Major, Saint John Lateran, Saint Paul Outside the Walls Basilica, and St. Peter Basilica with the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel.
On those foundations, we will say our prayers to Blessed Virgin Mary in Medjugorje. We will learn about our Church in Rome and pray for our Church in Medjugorje!

Day 1 Departure
Flight to Italy, from your departure city to Rome, an overnight transatlantic flight. Meals served on the board of the plane.
Day 2 - Arrival in Rome
Arrive at the Rome airport, meet with our guide for your Christian Tour of Rome. Coming to Rome, we will meet with the Eternal City panoramic tour by bus, sites like Piazza Venezia, with King Victor Emanuel II monument, passing by the Coliseum, Arch of Constantine, Imperial Forums (Caesar, Augustus, Trajan), Circus Maximus….First, on your schedule, today is the St. Mary Major Basilica, and then visit the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome, and was the Papal residence from the 5th Century until the papacy departed to Avignon in France. Across the street, we will visit the Holy Staircase (Scala Sancta) actual stairs that Jesus walked on the day he went to Pilate. We will end our day at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – the Vatican, St. Peter's
Today after the morning General Audience with Pope Francis and lunch break at one of many restaurants at the Vatican City, you will visit the Vatican Museums to see the art masterpieces of Michelangelo, Bernini, and countless known and unknown artists. The tour will continue with a walk through Vatican Museums, from Geographical Maps Gallery to the Sistine Chapel with the magnificent fresco of The Last Judgment and many more halls and rooms filled with Christian art, history, and inheritance of all civilization. Today is also our visit to the heart of the Vatican State, St. Peter's Basilica, and underground burial stones with the tomb of St. Peter and Square dedicated to the same Saint. After some free shopping time in the late afternoon, we are back at our hotel.
Day 4 – Rome historical – Flight to Croatia - Medjugorje
Our entire morning will be inspiring and educational. Today we will continue our Christian tour of Rome by visiting to the Basilica St. Paul Outside the Walls and Domitilla Catacombs. The same day later that afternoon, a flight to Split or Dubrovnik in Croatia and transfer to Medjugorje. Dinner and overnight in Medjugorje near the St. James Church and the Shrine of Our Lady Queen of Peace.
Day 5,6,7,8,9,10 - Medjugorje
The Medjugorje part of the pilgrimage will begin with a visit to the St. James Church just before English-language Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m. With thousands of pilgrims from all over the world, you will be visiting Bijakovici village; all six visionaries come from it, you will go up the Apparition Hill, Podbrdo place where Our Lady first appeared. On June 25th, there were six of them, children from ten to sixteen years old, Ivan, Marija, Vicka, Jakov, Ivanka & Mirjana. Since that day, we have known them as visionaries from Medjugorje. Each evening you and thousands of other pilgrims will pray the Rosary of all three Mysteries during the evening program. You are right in the heart of the place where Our Lady shared her intention to stay with "her children" on the path of Prayer, Reconciliation, Holy Mass, Fasting, and Bible reading - five cornerstones of message Queen of Peace left for us here! Our Lady's call for Prayer of the Rosary, Holy Mass, and Confession are the center of the evening program at St. James Church. According to the words of three visionaries, apparition takes place every day, three of them see Her daily, Vicka, Ivan, and Marija. Mirjana, Jakov Medjugorje - daily Holy Mass at St. James church and Ivanka are the three visionaries who don’t have daily apparitions but once a year. Among other activities, you will have a chance to climb the “Cross Mountain,” Krizevac as local people know it, and pray the Way of The Cross, also, visit the “Blue Cross,” another site where visionaries met with Our Lady, Gospa.
Each pilgrim, during their stay in Medjugorje, will have time for private devotions, time for lunch, shopping, or just enjoying your “freedom of prayer” on the hills surrounding Medjugorje - "between the hills" village.
Day 11 - Flight back home
This morning after the early breakfast group will leave for Split or Dubrovnik Airport for a flight back home.
