PILGRIMAGES TO THE QUEEN OF PEACE
Program
Day 1 - DEPARTURE - Flight to Europe
Departure from your city, your departure airport, flight to Europe. Your final destination is Split or Dubrovnik in the Republic of Croatia.
Day 2 - ARRIVAL IN MEDJUGORJE
You will arrive at the airport in Split or Dubrovnik, Croatia. Groups will meet a licensed Medjugorje guide, and your final destination Medjugorje is just a couple of hours away. The drive is along the most beautiful Dalmatian coast. The ride can also take you through the spectacular countryside of Dalmatia, along the newly built highway from Split to Medjugorje. Our accommodation is in the family-owned Medjugorje hotel, where we have our first dinner. Time permitting, we can attend the evening program in the church of St. James. Our first overnight in Medjugorje.
Day 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 - MEDJUGORJE PROGRAM
On your first day, the guide will take you on an orientation walk to the Church of St. James and share a story about Medjugorje.
Your program in Medjugorje includes time spent in talks given by Franciscans, daily Holy Mass, and time on the hill of Podbrdo, known as Apparition Hill, the site of the apparition of OUR LADY.
On your list of things to do in Medjugorje is to visit the village of Bijakovici. All six visionaries come from here. You will pray the Way of the Cross on the Cross Mountain. Your Medjugorje guide will visit Blue Cross on the Apparition Hill slope, the Cenacolo community, and walk through the fields. Those interested may also visit Mother's Village on the outskirts of Bijakovici.
You will attend an evening program that consists of the prayer of all three Mysteries of the Holy Rosary of the evening International Holy Mass. Afterward, you may participate in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in a prayer for the healing of the body and the soul. In Our Lady's message, we have heard how important it is to come to Mass where "we meet Jesus alive." Messages of Prayer of the Rosary, Holy Mass, and Confession are the center of the evening program at St. James Church. The apparition takes place at 5:40 pm or 6:40 pm, daylight saving time, and, according to the words of three visionaries, it occurs every day to Vicka, Ivan, and Marija. Mirjana, Jakov, and Ivanka are the three visionaries who don't have daily apparitions but once a year.
OPTIONAL:
Every pilgrim visiting Medjugorje will have the opportunity to take part in an excursion to Široki Brijeg and Tihaljina—a journey that offers a deeper encounter with the local population, culture, religion, and history.
The beauty of nature surrounding Medjugorje adds even more to the pilgrimage experience. A day trip to nearby rivers and waterfalls, along with visits to Franciscan convents and churches in the region, enriches your journey with moments of reflection, discovery, and peace.
These excursions are a wonderful way to complement your time of prayer in Medjugorje and create lasting memories of the land and people who welcome you.
Day 9 - FLIGHT BACK HOME
Today you will leave Medjugorje, have an early morning breakfast or get the breakfast boxes and transfer to the airport.
Your flight back home from Croatia is always via a European hub, and you arrive the same day.
