DAY 1 Departure from Philadelphia airport, Feb. 12, 2015
Board the transatlantic flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. Meals served on board of the plane.
DAY 2 Arrivals to Israel, Tel Aviv – Tel Aviv hotel - Feb. 13, 2015
Upon arrival to Israel, flight scheduled for 4.20 pm in the afternoon, group will head towards the hotel in Tel Aviv.
- First day upon arrival may change according to the flights schedule and your arrival to Holy land.
DAY 3 Tel Aviv - Caesarea - Haifa - Tiberias, Feb. 14, 2015
On our first morning in Israel group will make a visit to Caesarea, city port built by Herod. Here we meet with Pontius Pilate as a governor of Judea. Next visit will be Haifa with the Mount Carmel and – here group willcelebrate private holy mass. Upon arrival to hotel in Tiberias short rest before dinner!
DAY 4 Tiberias – Nazareth – Cana, Feb. 15, 2015
In the morning after breakfast you will leave for Nazareth, here upon arrival group will celebrate Holy mass and visit Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus and the place where He spent the first 30 years of His life. We will pray in the churches of St. Joseph and the Annunciation where the . A walk through old Nazareth brings us to see the Well where Mary went for water, visit Orthodox church there. After lunch break tour will continue to Cana the site of Jesus' first miracle. In this little town we will have the Renewal of the Marriage Vows. Same day we are in our hotel in Galilea!
DAY 5 Tiberias – Capernaum – Tabgha – River Jordan, Feb. 16, 2015
This morning pilgrimage In the continues with visit to Capernaum, where Jesus lived; new church built at the site of the Home of St. Peter, ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached, one that had being built in the time of Jesus. Through story of our guide we will get to know more of the Life of Jesus in Capernaum. Same day you will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee before going to Tabgha, the site of the Multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the church of & to where the Lord Jesus preached Sermon on the Mountain. For the end of the day we are on river Jordan, same river Jesus was baptized in by St. John. Here you will have chance to renew your baptismal vows. Today’s pilgrimage is over and we return to our hotel.
This morning to beat the afternoon crowd we will drive to Mt. Tabor. We will take a short taxi drive up to the mountain to visit the Church of Transfiguration and celebrate holy mass here. After visit we will head south through the Jordan Valley via Jericho, the oldest known continuously inhabited city in the world to passing by the Mt. of Temptation and to finally reach Qumran, the place where were found, more than 900 pieces in 30 caves. Stop for “Dead sea” experience float on the surface of the Dead Sea – bring your swim suites. Long and inspiring day ends in hotel in Jerusalem.
DAY 7 Jerusalem – Mount of Olives – Feb 18, 2015
In the morning we are on our way to Ein Karem; little town by Jerusalem. Here you will visit the Church of Visitation the site of the Blessed Virgin Mary's visit with her cousin Elizabeth. This is the place where Our Lady said Her "Magnificat". Visit here will also include the birthplace of St. John the Baptist. Return to hotel for dinner and second night in Bethlehem!
Arriving back to Jerusalem we will head to Mt. of Olives to visit the Ascension chapel – we believe that it was here. Next on the schedule is the Pater Noster – site of where Jesus taught his disciples the Our Father – “Pater Noster”. Enjoy the view of the Holy City from a top the . We then walk down the Palm Sunday Road, the road Jesus followed on His way to Jerusalem. We stop at the chapel of where our Lord wept and shed a tear for the city of Jerusalem (Luke 19: 37- 42). We than proceed to the and pray at the church of All Nations (Church of Gethsemane), where Jesus prayed: "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me, nevertheless, not my will but your will be done".
At the beginning of the day in Jerusalem you will visit the church of St. Peter Gallicantu, the church built on the site of the . This is where Jesus spent night in the dungeon after his arrest. On this site Peter denied Jesus three times and the cock crowed (Gallicantu). As is our destiny, today you will enter the Old City and begin with the one of the rare churches that was spared from destruction of Moslems was built over the house of. Here we also visit and pray at the pool of where Jesus Christ healed a man who was crippled for 38 years. After visit here we will follow & pray the Stations of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, from Pilate’s fortress and to the, site of Crucifixion and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
After lunch break at the open market in the heart of Old Jerusalem we will go to the Temple Mount area with the Cardo Maximus (the street from Roman times) and then end at the Western Wall of Solomon's Temple, with the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock mosque above it. Our last visit today is on to Mount Zion Church of Dormition, where Mary fell into Eternal sleep, and the Room of the Last Supper. Tonight is the final and farewell dinner at the hotel in Jerusalem.
DAY 9 Jerusalem – Tel Aviv – USA, Feb 20, 2015
Today early breakfast and at about 9:00 am transfer to Tel Aviv airport for flight back home.
