DAY 1 - Departure from the USA 

Departure will be from your gateway city & International airport. The flight is overnight to Israel to Tel Aviv. Meals served on board the plane.


DAY 2 - Arrival in Israel, Tel Aviv – Jerusalem/Bethlehem 

Upon arrival in Israel, groups will meet with their guide, board the bus, and head to the hotel, breakfast, and rest. Today in the afternoon group will celebrate opening Holy mass in Emmaus; it is here where we may upon arrival to Holy land recognize and understand better the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the same way it happened to two disciples on the Road to Emmaus. Late in the afternoon group will check into a hotel, rest before dinner, and overnight.


Day 3 - Bethlehem 

In the morning after breakfast, we drive to Bethlehem (house of bread in Hebrew). First is the visit to Shepherd’s Field where Angels appeared to the shepherds (Luke 2), to announce the Birth of Jesus. Later to visit the church of Nativity built over the tomb of St. Jerome, In the Grotto under the central altar we will walk by the Holy Manger, and the Silver Star with the Latin inscription "Hic de Maria Virgine Jesus Christus Natus est." In the afternoon we will leave Bethlehem, we will visit Ein Karem village near Jerusalem with the Church of Visitation the site of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s visit with her cousin Elizabeth. This is the place where Our Lady said her “Magnificat.” Visit here will also include the birthplace of St. John the Baptist. Late in the afternoon, we will return to the hotel, rest before dinner, and overnight.


Day 4 - Bethlehem – Nazareth – Cana

In the morning after breakfast, you will leave for Nazareth, hereupon arrival group will celebrate Holy Mass and visit Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus and the place where He spent the first 30 years of His life. We will pray in the churches of St. Joseph and the Annunciation where the Angel Gabriel announced to Mary that She would be the Mother of God. A walk-through old Nazareth brings us to see the Well where Mary went for water, visit the Orthodox church there. After lunch break tour will continue to Cana the site of Jesus' first miracle. In this little town, we will have the Renewal of the Marriage Vows and the blessing of families. Check in to a hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 5 - Nazareth – River Jordan – Capernaum – Tabgha 

This morning pilgrimage In the Footsteps of Jesus continues with a visit to river Jordan, the same river Jesus was baptized in by St. John. Here you will have a chance to renew your baptismal vows. Next on your route is a visit to Capernaum, where Jesus lived; a new church built at the site of the Home of St. Peter, ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached, one that had been constructed in the time of Jesus. Through the story of our guide, we will get to know more about the Life of Jesus in Capernaum. The same day you will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee before going to Tabgha, the site of the Multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the church of St. Peter's Primacy. Today’s pilgrimage is over, and we return to our hotel.


DAY 6 - Mt. of Beatitudes – Dan & Caesarea Philippi

This morning you will drive to Mt. Of Beatitudes where the Lord Jesus preached Sermon on the Mountain celebrate the mass here and continue to Upper Galilee and Caesarea Philippi (Banias) to the Dan city lying at the southern base of Mount Hermon and was the northernmost point of the ancient Israelite kingdom:  “from Dan to Beersheba” (2 Samuel 3:10).  Dan was a Phoenician city, named initially Leshem (Joshua 19:47) or Laish (Judges 18:7), which was conquered by Dan’s tribe when it migrated northward. 

Caesarea Philippi is also the site of Peter’s Confession.  “Who do they say I Am”….Mathew 16:13, 16…and “You are Peter….” Mathew 16: 18, 19. Located on the southern slopes of Mount Hermon near the ancient city of Dan, this city is found at the northern extremity of Palestine.  It lies in the Wadi Banias, a beautiful area near the Jordan River. Return to the hotel, rest before dinner, and overnight.


Day 7 - Mt. Tabor – Jericho 

This morning to beat the afternoon crowd we will drive to Mt Tabor.  We will take a short taxi drive up to the mountain to visit the Church of Transfiguration and celebrate holy mass here. After the visit, we will head south through the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest known continuously inhabited city in the world.  After a stop to tell the story of Zacchaeus and renew ourselves “The Parable of Good Samaritan” we will have a stop for lunch. Later you will drive through the Judean Desert, passing by the Mt of Temptation. The same late morning continues to Qumran, the place where Dead Sea Scrolls were found, more than 900 pieces in 30 caves.
Stop for a “Dead sea” experience float on the surface of the Dead Sea. The day ends in Jericho for dinner and overnight.


DAY 8 - Jerusalem – Mount of Olives

Arriving in Jerusalem, we will head to Mt. of Olives to visit the Ascension chapel – we believe that it was here Jesus ascended to heaven 40 days after the Resurrection. Next on the schedule is the Pater Noster – a site where Jesus taught his disciples the Our Father – “Pater Noster”. Enjoy the view of the Holy City from atop the Mount of Olives.  We then walk down the Palm Sunday Road, the road Jesus followed on His way to Jerusalem. We stop at the chapel of Dominus Flevit where our Lord wept and shed a tear for the city of Jerusalem (Luke 19: 37- 42). We then proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane and pray at the church of All Nations (Church of Gethsemane), where Jesus prayed: "Father if you are willing, take this cup from me; nevertheless, not my will but you're will be done."  You will visit the church of St. Peter Gallicantu, the church built on the site of the house of the high priest Caiaphas. This is where Jesus spent a night in the dungeon after his arrest. On this site, Peter denied Jesus three times, and the cock crowed (Gallicantu).


Day 9 - The Old City of Jerusalem and “Via Crucis”

As Jerusalem is our destiny, today you will enter the Old City and follow the Stations of the Cross the Via Dolorosa, from Pilate’s fortress and Flagellation Chapel to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, site of Crucifixion and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The same day you make The Way Of The Cross we will visit and pray at the pool of Bethesda where Jesus Christ healed a man who was crippled for 38 years. The Church of St Anne one of the rare churches that were spared from the destruction of Moslems was built over the house of Joachim and Anne. In the afternoon group will leave for a visit to the Israel Museum with the model of Jerusalem from the time of Jesus.   Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.


DAY 10 - Mt. Zion - Western Wall 

This morning, we will visit the Holocaust Museum in the morning and then on to Mount Zion Church of Dormition, where Mary fell into Eternal sleep and the Room of the Last Supper.  Then, we will go to the Temple Mount area with the Cardo Maximus (the street from Roman times) and then end at the Western Wall of Solomon's Temple, with the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock mosque above it. Tonight is the final and farewell dinner at the hotel in Jerusalem.


DAY 11 - Jerusalem - flight home 

Group has a transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for a flight back home to the US, arrival the same day.
